To Reclaim and Preserve is a site-specific installation of approximately 150 hand dyed and bound blank books. It discusses the margins that Black authors are often pushed to, the spaces they're often pushed out of, and my necessity as a Black woman to find and exalt their works.
“If she is black and coming out into the world she must be doubly armed, doubly prepared.
Because for her there is not simply a new world to be gained, there is an old world that must be reclaimed.”
